Job Description - 1. Analyze training requirements and learner profile. 2. Perform task and/or content analysis. 3. Define learning objectives. 4. Develop the course structure. 5. Design instructional and assessment strategies and create prototypes to demonstrate the strategies. 6. Document instructional design-related specifications and guidelines. 7. Provide inputs for designing the user interface and layout templates for online training.8. Write structured content material in a style that is audience-appropriate and adheres to the project style guide.9. Conceptualize and facilitate the production of multimedia assets, including static graphics, illustrations, animations, simulations, audio narrations, and video.10. Perform quality assurance reviews. 11. Provide inputs for testing and address feedback from tests. 12. Communicate with customer counterparts. 13. Provide on-the-job training to Instructional Writers and review their work.14. The candidates will be expected to independently drive the design of small-scale, stand-alone, or generally less complex projects. 15. Sound knowledge of instructional design models and techniques (Blooms Taxonomy, Gagne’s 9 events) and experience in audience analysis; task analysis; instructional objectives analysis; structure and information mapping; assessment creation.4. Good collaborator, should able to efficiently interact and communicate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and vendors.5. Should be able to handle client calls and all client communication.6. Position Summary:
The Technical Writer writes and edits hardcopy and online documentation, online help, web content, and training materials for customers using a
variety of tools. The writer interviews client subject-matter experts, attends project meetings, works closely with team members, manages his/her project hours, and is responsible for the quality of his/her own work.

Essential Job Duties:
- Develops, writes, and edits outlines, drafts, and final deliverables for review by the customer.- Follows style sheet guidelines and customer and industry style guides. - Researches information about the product by interviewing subject-matter experts and using the product, including using the web to get background information. - Works directly with the customer to get and give the information needed; customer service. - Aligns with the goals, strategies, and objectives of the project and works to ensure they are met.- Assists in improving the documentation, including making recommendations on table of contents, structure/organization etc. - Becomes the “information expert” on the product over time, reducing time required of an SME. - Delivers every component according to schedule, and according to handoff specifications. - Attends internal and customer project and review meetings, as required- Ensures that all deliverables are reviewed by the designated QA person before the deliverables go to the client.- Performs quality checks on other writer’s deliverables and ensures quality of his/her own work before handoff to customer or localization.- Manages hours according to the project budget.
